A beautifully simple and pretty traditional tasfift made of silver chain, red glass beads and featuring 16 Moroccan silver coins (dates no longer legible). Traditionally worn by Berber women for their wedding ceremony, the tasfift comprised part of the dowry and the woman's individual wealth.
Often made of silver coins and other beads or coral, silver was the traditional metal as being a "white"metal it symbolised purity.
This lovely piece is light and delicate and can easily be worn as a lovely summer necklace or as a headdress for a boho-chic bride.
